NASA has released an application for the iPhone that delivers updated content directly from agency sources. The application shows all NASA current missions in a table view. A filter button in the application allows you to turn off or turn on the missions. You can click on any of the missions to see details about that mission. In the mission details page, you can view the mission description, see mission specific images and videos, visit the mission website, email the mission link to someone, view a launch or arrival countdown clock and view an orbit tracking screen (if the spacecraft is in orbit around the Earth) for some missions. The mission orbit tracking screen
(available for some missions that are in orbit around the Earth, like the International Space Station), shows the current orbit position of a selected spacecraft. The application offers 3 views: map view, satellite imagery, satellite imagery with country borders and labels. It also features images and videos from NASA. It can be downloaded for free from the iTunes application store.
